WHO WE ARE
We are the Stark family—Nick, Catherine, and our two daughters, Evelynn and Eloise.
North Cut Meats is more than a business to our family. It is the continuation of a path we began years ago, built around our love for the meat trade, Alaska agriculture, and the people who work hard to provide for their families and communities.
Before North Cut Meats, we have had the privilege of serving, and continue to serve, local farmers, ranchers, and homesteaders through our mobile slaughter service, Stark Custom Services. We started SCS with a simple goal: to help strengthen Alaska agriculture by addressing one of the bottlenecks many farmers, ranchers, and homesteaders face and providing a dependable on-farm slaughter service.
That work introduced us to many incredible people and gave us an even deeper appreciation for the importance of a strong agricultural supply chain.
Our connection to the meat industry goes back even further. Long before either of our businesses existed, Catherine and I worked together in a meat processing shop in our late teens. We learned the value of hard work, the importance of quality, and the pride that comes from helping families put food on their tables.
We often look back on that chapter of our lives with smiles, laughter, and a unique sense of peace. We never could have known then where that experience would eventually lead us.
North Cut Meats was built on the same foundation as Stark Custom Services: a love for the trade, a desire to solve problems within Alaska agriculture, and most importantly, a commitment to community and family.
As a family, we are excited to continue growing in an industry that has had such a meaningful impact on our lives—and to share that experience with our children as they grow.
We are proud of where this journey has brought us, excited for where it will take us, and grateful to have our family along for the ride.
From our family to yours, thank you for being part of our story.
